Listening Out Loud

Welcome To The LOL Foundation
Jill Dolman and her son, Andrew Dolman Bayley founded the charity after working tirelessly for the armed forces in various ways over many years.
Beginning with sending jiffy bags to the Mercian Regiment, their vision grew.
Over time more and more people became enthused and involved in the support of those leaving all areas of the armed forces.
The Listening Out Loud Foundation became a registered charity in October 2012.
The aims of the charity are to rehabilitate the mind and body of ex-service personnel by fostering skills and work ethics to help them make the transition from military to civilian life.
The Foundation also provide temporary housing and trauma care for those with mental health related problems, namely Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
No other charity tackles this transition and as statistics show, there are more than 250
ex-servicemen/women sleeping rough in the North West of England.
One in ten homeless people nationally are ex-service personnel.
People ask 'Why LOL?'
Although 'Lots of Love' may sound appropriate, the reason is far more sentimental.
Jill’s father’s name was Lawrence and his nickname was Lol.
The LOL Foundation was named in loving memory of her father.
May he rest in peace.
